Paddle through the breathtaking landscapes of the region, while enjoying a moment of relaxation and adventure with family and friends.

We do not accept reservations by phone. The time indicated in your reservation is an approximate time. On busy days, your departure may be slightly delayed due to the queue at the departure point.

Mornings are usually less busy.

Our kayaks 

We rent double and single boats. 

A double boat offers place to 2p. and 1 child from 5 years and max 115 cm. A mono boat offers place to 1p. Pets (dogs) are not allowed.

The water flow of the Ourthe River is measured daily by the Walloon Region. In the event of a mandatory closure, we will do our best to inform you as soon as possible by email or phone, to avoid unnecessary travel.

We apply our own safety limits, which may differ from the information available on official or other websites.

We operate on the Ourthe between Maboge Bridge and the mobile dam in Barvaux.

Kayak closed ?

Sailing on the Ourthe can be forbidden for 2 reasons.

Too much water, kayaking is too dangerous or too little water. The flow rate of the river is controlled daily by the Walloon Region, they decide whether or not it is allowed. We try to inform you as soon as possible by mail and/or telephone to avoid unnecessary travel. You can see for yourself on the official website.

Kayak Guidelines (Updated 27.11.2025)

Safety First:
Wearing a life jacket is mandatory while kayaking.

Minimum Height and Supervision:
The minimum required height is 110 cm.
(The previous rule regarding minimum age has been removed.)
If a participant is under 110 cm but has their own life jacket suitable for their size, they are allowed to participate.
Maxi-cosi seats, baby seats, or similar systems are not permitted.

Accessibility for People with Reduced Mobility (PRM):
PRM access is only allowed if participants can swim without assistance.
PRM participants must use a tandem kayak, accompanied by an adult in the same kayak (they cannot be the only adult on board).

No Pets:
Dogs and other animals are not allowed in the kayaks.

Weight Limits:
Single kayak: max. 115 kg
Double kayak: max. 230 kg
Life jackets: max. 130 kg

Equipment Advice:
Use the provided buckets.
They are not completely waterproof, so avoid taking valuables.

Boarding and Disembarking Rules:
Boarding and disembarking are only allowed at designated areas.

Prohibitions:
Bringing barbecues or alcoholic beverages on board is forbidden.
Playing loud music is prohibited.
Stopping along the shore is prohibited.

Time Restrictions:
No kayaking after 7:00 PM.

Responsibility Reminder:
You are responsible for the kayak and equipment.
Adventure Valley is not responsible for lost items.
Please respect local rules.

Warning About Fines:
Violating the rules may result in fines of up to €250 imposed by the authorities. 
Adventure Valley cannot be held responsible for fines issued by the local authorities.
Adventure Valley does not issue fines.
