We are coming out of a forest and are following the path along an acient hedge. Hedges were planted by the sector of agriculture in order to invent the barbed wire. The hedges consisted of all sorts of mostly indigenous plants, plants with spikes were used a lot like dog roses, blackthornes and hawthorns. You can discover various plants between the hedges depending on the seasons.
But be aware of the heracleum (foto 4) and the nettels. Don't touch the heracleum and warn the children. Never let the children make whistles or blow pipes from the plant's stem. If the body is in contact with the juice of the heracleum and is exposed to UV rays at the same time,it can happen that after 24 hours or more,skin lesions arise.
De nettels (foto 3) are less dangerous and they are just itchy. Did you know by the way that there are always plants near the nettels whose juice can fix the itchiness, like the plantago and sorrel?
